Soccer Opens Season With Shutout

The Yavapai College soccer team scored 6 second half goals en route to a 7-0 victory in the 2012 season and conference opener against Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale Thursday night. The Roughriders are now 22-2-0 all-time in season openers.

Agustin Rey and Kieran Coleman-Fry combined in goal for the shutout. YC outshot the Artichokes 23-2.

On Saturday, August 25th Yavapai will host Phoenix College in their home opener. The match will be played at Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley and will kick-off at 6:00 PM.
