Baseball Splits Home Twinbill

In the first game, Ryan Petersen pitched the complete game for his fifth victory of the year. He helped his cause going 1 for 3 from the plate with an RBI. Jordan Negrini and Krysthian Leal each had two hits and Matt Smith was 1 for 3 with two runs batted in.
In the late game, the Coyotes bit the Riders in the final innings of the game. With a 5-5 tie, Chandler/Gilbert got the winning run in their half of the eighth inning.

Jordan Blaylock took the hard-luck loss. Humberto Aranda was 3 for 4 with three runs batted in. Jordan DePonte was 2 for 3 and Jordan Negrini was 1 for 4 with two runs batted in.

The Roughriders will be on the road on Tuesday, April 3rd at Paradise Valley Community College before returning to the friendly confines of Roughrider Park on Saturday April 7th against Cochise College. Both doubleheaders will start at 12:00 PM.
