Seven Riders Honored; Iveson COY

Seven members from the top ranked Roughrider softball team were named to the ACCAC All-Conference Team Monday afternoon. Five were named to the first team and two on the second team. Additionally, head coach Stacy Iveson was voted ACCAC Coach of the Year, the fourth time in her career and first at Yavapai that she has won the honor.

Sophomores Vanessa House and Danielle Muniz were voted to the first team. For Muniz that is the second consecutive year that she was named to the first team. Freshmen Amelia Willadsen, Sierra Rodriguez and Estela Pinon were also named to the first team.

Sophomores Alex Landon and Brittany Keiser were named to the second team. As freshmen, Keiser garnered first team all-conference and Landon earned third team all-league.

The Roughriders begin NJCAA Region I Division I Playoff action on Friday, May 5th against Arizona Western College. The game will start at 12:30 PM at Bill Vallely Field in Prescott.
