Lady Riders Beat Scottsdale

The Roughrider women’s basketball team struggled to a victory Wednesday night in the Storm Center over Scottsdale Community College, 72-61. Yavapai improves to 18-9 overall and 10-9 in ACCAC action. Scottsdale falls to 4-22 overall and 3-15 the ACCAC.

Antoinette Miller and Kayla Williams each scored 20 points to lead the lady cagers. Miller had a double double with 19 rebounds and added 6 assists. Williams grabbed 7 caroms.

Yavapai returns to the court on Saturday at Phoenix College (14-12, 7-11) for a matinee affair. In January, the Roughriders beat the Bears, 74-55. Tip-off will be at 2:00 PM.
