Pineda, Landon Sweep ACCAC Honors

For her efforts last week, Chelsea Pineda was named the NJCAA Region 1 Division 1 Batter of the Week. The sophomore catcher was 5-6 (.833) in the first game of a doubleheader sweep over Gateway Community College. In the nightcap, she had 3 doubles, 1 home run, 4 RBI’s and 2 runs scored.

Freshman Alex Landon garnered the NJCAA Region 1 Division 1 Pitcher of the Week. The Scottsdale native threw a one hit shutout, walking none and striking out 4, as the Roughriders blanked Gateway 17-0.
