High Expectations For Baseball

The Roughrider baseball team has been the subject of numerous pre-season polls. The NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) has Yavapai at #11. Perfect Game Croschecker has placed the Riders at #14. Collegiate Baseball ranks YC at #19.
Additionally, PG Crosschecker, a national recruiting service, has sophomore DeMarcus Tidwell as the ninth rated professional prospect in all of junior college baseball. Sophomore Tyler Bremer was named #19; freshman Casey Upperman #109; freshman Parker Markel #140; freshman James Dykstra #151; and sophomore Riley Welch #187.
The Roughriders are in Las Vegas Thursday and Friday for a trio of games against the #1 ranked Community College of Southern Nevada. YC will make their 2010 home debut on Thursday, February 11th against College of Eastern Utah. The first pitch will be thrown at 2:00 PM.
