Baseball Players Sign NLI’s

Five current Roughrider baseball players have signed National Letters of Intent at NCAA Division I programs bringing the total to 53 players in the last eight years.

Right-handed sophomore pitcher Tyler Bremer (Berkely, California) has signed with Baylor University joining former Roughrider player and coach Trevor Mote. Bremer is a transfer from the University of California at Davis where he had a 3-1 record last season.

Right-handed pitcher Dustin Hobbs will join former Roughrider player and coach Mike Crawford at the University of Utah. Hobbs played last season at Kansas State University.

Prescott native Cam Schiller as inked with Oral Roberts University. The sophomore infielder hit .363 in his inaugural collegiate season and was named NJCAA Division I Region I Second Team.

Sophomore reliever Pulama Silva heads south to the University of Arizona. Silva led the league and nation with 17 saves and had a .084 ERA a season ago.

Scottsdale native Riley Welch will be pitching for Arizona State University next season. Last season, Welch had a 4-0 record with 4 saves and 4.88 ERA.
