YC Tamed By The Matadors

The Roughrider basketball team dropped their fourth straight game Wednesday night in Yuma, 81-60 to fall to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in ACCAC action.

Yavapai held a 19-14 lead midway through the 1st half but AWC went on a 14-2 run to take the lead and go into intermission with a 39-32 lead. With a barrage of 3-pointers, the home team took control of the second half knocking down 12 treys for the game and YC struggled to find the net.

YC was led by Ali Sabra with 14 points including 4 shots beyond the arc and Colin Borchert chipped in 11.

Yavapai will take to the home hardwood on Saturday, November 21st against Phoenix College. Game time will be at 4:00 PM.
