Lady Riders Fall

The Yavapai College women’s basketball team dropped their fourth consecutive game Thursday afternoon in Yuma to College of Eastern Utah 58-56. YC is now 0-4 on the young season and will face Anoka-Ramsey College, MN Friday afternoon.

YC held a 58-55 lead with 1:20 left in the game. Unfortunately, that which has plagued the lady hoopsters early this season hit them again, turnovers. Eastern Utah converted 5 points on three Yavapai turnovers in the final 70 seconds to get the victory.

Lerrin Cook led the team in scoring with 19 points. She also had 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Kiki January added 10 points 4 rebounds and 3 steals and Kira DeMorales chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds.
