Yavapai scored five unanswered goals Monday night in a 5-0 victory over Chandler/Gilbert Community College in Prescott Valley. The Roughriders remain unbeaten at their home-away-from-home with a record of 30-0-0. With the win, Yavapai avenges an opening day loss to the Coyotes, only their second opening day loss in the 21-year history of the program. YC improves to 9-2-0 on the season and CGCC falls to 7-3-1.
Yavapai scored two goals in the first half with the winner coming in the 26th minute of the game. After intermission, the Roughriders dominated both ends of the pitch to record their 7th shutout of the season with Michael Moran and Humberto Soriano combining for the blanking in goal.

The #9 ranked Roughriders play host to Paradise Valley Community College on Saturday, October 3rd at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott. In the first meeting of the year, YC held the Pumas scoreless in a 6-0 victory in Paradise Valley. Saturday’s match will kick-off at 6:00 PM.
