Lady Spikers Breeze To A Win

The Lady Rider volleyball team began the first leg of a California swing with a 25-8, 25-15, 30-28 victory over the host team Imperial Valley College Friday night. Yavapai is now 12-8 overall and 3-2 in ACCAC action.
Freshman outside hitter Allison Murdock led the Roughriders with 13 points on 11 kills, 1 ace, and 1 block. She also hit a season high .304 for the match. Freshman middle blocker Tayler Hagan added 8 points on 7 kills and 1 block and hit .385 for the match. Freshman setter Rachel Lindley led the lady spikers with 40 assists and sophomore libero Tialei Agader led the defense with 18 digs.
Saturday, September 26th YC will play 5 matches in the one day San Diego City College Tournament. The Roughriders will begin tourney play with Santa Ana College at 9:00 AM. League play will resume for the ‘Riders Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd in the Storm Center against Arizona Western College and Eastern Arizona College respectively.
