#1 Roughriders Open With #16 Darton, GA

The #1 ranked Roughrider softball team will carry the #1 seed into the 2009 NJCAA Division I World Series.
YC will open up against #16 seed Darton College, GA (32-9) on Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 AM. The winner of that contest will advance to the next round game facing the winner of the #8 seed Odessa College, TX and #9 seed Wabash Valley College, IL game. The winners will play at 8:00 PM on Thursday. The losers of both games will play at 6:00 PM.
There will be a send-off for the team Tuesday, May 12th at noon at the round-about on the campus of Yavapai College in Prescott. Come and send the Roughriders off with the hopes of the first softball national championship for Yavapai College.
