Softball Stays Hot

The Lady Rider softball finally got a home game, meaning in Prescott. On Thursday, YC played at local softball field Heritage Park against Scottsdale Community College and came away with a twinbill sweep, 11-2 and 10-0. The lady diamondeers are now 15-1 overall.

Jenna Rodriguez picked up her seventh win on the season striking out four Artichoke batters. Brittany Tucker was a big hitter with two hits including a home run. Rodriguez helped her cause with two hits and three runs batted in. Ana Castillo, Caitlin Stangl and Ashley Snedeker all were two for three.

In the nightcap, Audrey Workman remained perfect on the season (7-0) striking out six batters. Rodriguez kept a hot bat with a home run and three RBI’s. Castillo was two for two. Kacie Smith was one for two with two runs scored, three RBI’s and a home run. Tatem Day was one for one with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.

On Saturday, February 21st YC will entertain Glendale Community College at Roughrider Park. The first pitch will be thrown at 12:00 PM.
