Men’s Basketball Pounds The Cougar

The Roughrider men’s basketball team got their second win in a row Friday afternoon with an 83-42 drubbing of South Mountain Community College. YC is now 6-18 overall and 3-13 in ACCAC action.

Daniel Duran led the offensive charge with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. Chino Valley product Cody Rafters had 15 points. Jaron Kirk scored 13 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Mychal Martinez added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

Yavapai returns to action on Wednesday, February 11th at Chandler/Gilbert Community College. In their prior meeting, the Coyotes beat the Riders 95-67. Tip-off will be at 7:30 PM.
