Lady Hoopsters Win Big

After a hard fought loss last night to top 20 ranked College of Southern Idaho, the Lady Rider basketball team bounced back tonight with a 49 point victory over Bismarck State College, 99-50. The victory improves the lady hoopster’s overall record to 8-5 and remain at 4-2 in the ACCAC.

Yavapai had 5 players in double figures led by freshman Bjonee Reaves with 23. She also tied for the team lead in rebounds with 8 and added 7 steals and 7 assists leading the team in both categories. Freshman Lerrin Cook fought off a battle with the flu to knock in 14 points. DeAndra Adsitt had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Sandy Cook and Danielle Reiher chipped in 12 points.

In the final game of the Wells Fargo Classic, YC will face North Idaho College, a 76-45 winner over Cochise College earlier Friday afternoon. Tip-off will be at 6:00 PM in the Storm Center on the campus of Yavapai College in Prescott.
