The Roughrider basketball team falls to a 3-4 overall mark after dropping two games in the Snow College Invitation in Ephraim, UT Friday and Saturday night. Yavapai returns to conference play on Tuesday, November 25th at Phoenix College.

On Friday night, YC faced the 2007-08 NJCAA National Runners-Up and #14 ranked Salt Lake City Community College. The Bruins lived up to their billing as they handed the Roughriders an 87-56 loss. Yavapai made things interesting for a while as they shot 50% from the field in the first half. However, in the second half the basket tightened up for YC as they shot a dismal 27% from the field.

Jordan Daisy led the home team in scoring with 18 followed by Adam Arciniega with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Justin McCullough added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

On Saturday night, Yavapai played 32 minutes of superb basketball, conversely the remainder 8 minutes cost the Roughriders in the end as Snow College won 88-75. McCullough led the YC offense with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Matt Coakley added 16 points and 6 assists and Daisy chipped in 11 points.

Yavapai will return to the Storm Center on Saturday, December 6th to face Scottsdale Community College. Tip-off will be at 7:30 PM.
