Volleyball Drops A Heartbreaker

The Roughrider volleyball team dropped a critical match tonight to the #14 ranked Artichokes from Scottsdale Community College, 3-1 (24-26, 25-17, 22-25, 17-25). YC falls to 6-8 in league play and 14-18 overall while SCC improves to 9-6 in the ACCAC standings and 22-7 overall.

With 4 games remaining in the regular season, Yavapai finds itself two games back in the play-off race. For division I teams in the conference, only two teams will advance to the post-season. Eastern Arizona College leads the pack of three with a 10-4 mark followed by Arizona Western College at 9-6. The Lady Riders play host to AWC tomorrow afternoon in a pivotal match with play-off implications. The match will begin at 2:00 PM in the Storm Center on the campus of Yavapai College in Prescott.
