This afternoon in Mesa, the #1 ranked Roughrider soccer team reached yet another milestone in the heralded history of the program. YC posted a 4-0 victory over Mesa Community College to improve their overall record to 12-0-0 and a league leading 10-0-0.

Dating back to last season, YC has won 19 consecutive matches. MCC falls to 1-10 and 0-10 in the conference standings.

4th consecutive shutout

With the milestone victory on Saturday, Yavapai advances their all-time record to exactly 400 games over the .500 mark. Since the program’s inception 20 years ago, the Roughriders have compiled an overall record of 429-29-13, thus achieving the feat of having 400 more wins than defeats.

The milestone did not come easy. YC led 1-0 at halftime on a Chilo Rivera unassisted goal. However, following intermission, YC scored three goals in a ten-minute span to seal the victory.

On Wednesday, Yavapai begins a three-game homestand hosting Glendale Community College at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott. In August, the Roughriders beat GCC on their home field 8-1. The match will kick-off at 6:00 PM.
