Former Roughrider’s Sign with Universities for 2008-2009 Season

Three Yavapai College Men’s basketball players will continue their basketball and academic career’s at 4-year Universities for the 2008-09 basketball season.

Brock Entner, 6’0 Guard from Phoenix, AZ, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. This past season, Entner averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal per game.

Dennis Booth

Dennis Booth, 6’7 Forward/Center from Grand Canyon, AZ, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM. He will face former Roughrider’s Steve Hudson, Jeremy Brooks, Brandon Gentry and Vince Alvarado at Western State University in the Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference this coming season. Western New Mexico University went 17-12 this past season, and lost in the second round of the RMAC Post Season Tournament. This past season, Booth averaged 3 points and 2 rebounds per game before cutting his season short due to a leg injury.

Vince Alvarado

Vince Alvarado, 5’8 Guard from Seligman, AZ, has decided to attend Western State University in Gunnison, CO. He will join former Roughrider’s Steve Hudson, Jeremy Brooks, and Brandon Gentry for the upcoming season. Western State went 10-17 this past season, their best season in 10 years. This past season, Alvarado averaged 3 points, 1 rebound, and 2 assists per game.
