Farnsworth has been with Yavapai College since 1987 as an instructor in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department and as an athletic trainer.
According to Barbara Wing, Dean of the Prescott Campus, “Yavapai College has been fortunate to have the leadership of Bob Bockrath for these past seven years and we now look forward to the future leadership of Scott Farnsworth. Scott has been an exemplary contributor to the college community and is well known at the local, state and national level for his work as an athletic trainer.”
Farnsworth served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Yavapai College from 1987 – 2006, working with national championship teams in soccer, baseball and cross country. A full-time YC faculty member, he teaches activity and lecture courses in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Department. Currently, Farnsworth is completing his second term as Faculty Association President at Yavapai College.

Scott is currently serving as chairman of Arizona’s Athletic Training Regulatory Board, and has served as both president and vice president of the Arizona Athletic Trainers Association.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve Yavapai College in this new capacity,” said Farnsworth. “My interest is to work and do whatever necessary to make the instructors, coaches and staff successful in their jobs to serve our students and athletes. I’m really here to serve these incredible professionals.”
