SCC finished 3rd at the NJCAA Division II World Series a year ago. YC is now 15-4-1 overall and in first place of the ACCAC with a 10-0 mark.

Additionally, Dan Duffy was 3 for 4 with three runs scored and two runs batted in. Jared Norris hit two doubles knocking in three runs. Louie Templeton had a great day at the plate, going 3 for 4 with two RBI’s.

In the nightcap, Merrill Kelly (2-0) got his second win of the year pitching 8 2/3 innings. The sophomore hurler allowed nine hits and two earned runs while striking out a season high of twelve SCC batters. Jonathon Dupuy threw the final out to record his third save on the year. Offensively, Templeton added three more hits to finish the day 6 for 9. Bobby Rinnard led the game off with his first home run of the year; Zac Castleberry was 2 for 4 and Erik Knutson hit two doubles knocking in one run.
