Goldsmith Voted ACCAC Player Of The Year
One day after breaking the Yavapai College single season scoring record, Tehani Goldsmith capped off a stellar season by being named the ACCAC Player of the Year as voted on by the conference coaches.
The sleek sophomore averaged 20.1 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game while dropping double digit points on 26 of 29 games.
Sophomore Jonisha Carson was rewarded with a 2nd Team All-ACCAC nod. She scored 11.2 points per game and handed out 4.4 assists per game. In her two-year Yavapai career, Carson finishes ranked 7th on the all-time assists list.
Sophomore Kellie Snyder was named to the 3rd Team All-ACCAC. Snyder averaged 7.8 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. She is currently 7th on the all-time YC rebounding list.
Central Arizona College’s head coach Lin Laursen was voted the ACCAC Coach of the Year and CAC’s Tenaya Watson was named Freshman of the Year.
