The #9 ranked Roughrider baseball team swept an afternoon doubleheader from fellow ACCAC opponent Eastern Arizona College today in Thatcher, 3-2 and 2-0.
The Lady Rider softball team took a break from conference action to host Glendale Community College in a single non-league game today at Roughrider Park.
Head Coach Sky Smeltzer’s squad had a tough task today in not only playing a doubleheader on the road but also facing the top rated pitcher across the nation in the JUCO ranks, Josh Spence.
With a 23-7-1 overall record, the Roughrider baseball team has caught the attention of the NJCAA.
Yavapai College baseball split an afternoon doubleheader yesterday against Pima Community College, dropping the first game 5-0 and run ruling the Aztecs in the nightcap, 16-6. YC is now 22-7-1 overall and 15-1 in ACCAC action.
Roughrider softball improved their conference record to 15-3 with a doubleheader sweep of Arizona Western College (20-10-1, 12-6) yesterday at Roughrider Park. The final scores were 11-3 and 4-3. Overall, YC is now 30-8.
For their efforts last week Roughrider softball players Kacie Smith and Jenna Rodriguez were named ACCAC Batter of the Week and Pitcher of the Week respectively.

The Roughrider baseball team’s 16-game winning streak came to a halt today as the #5 ranked Reviers from Iowa Western Community College swept a doubleheader at Roughrider Park, 7-5 and 16-13.
Due to inclement weather, the baseball game between the Roughriders and Western Nebraska Community College has been postponed until Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
The Lady Roughrider softball team swept a non-league doubleheader against the visiting Tallahassee Community College Eagles, 12-5 and 13-3.
The Roughrider baseball team outscored the visiting Illinois Central College Cougars, 13-1 yesterday in a doubleheader at Roughrider Park.
The Yavapai College softball team erupted for 20 runs yesterday against Gateway Community College, 18-0 and 2-0.

Playing in front of a hostile crowd, the Lady Rider basketball team ran into a buzz saw last night in #1 ranked Central Arizona College, losing the NJCAA Region I Championship Game 112-63.
The Roughrider baseball team continues to roll sweeping their seventh straight doubleheader today over the visiting South Mountain Community College Cougars, 4-3 and 12-2.
