Thunderbirds Fly Over The Roughriders

The Roughrider men’s basketball team dropped their fifth conference game tonight to the visiting Mesa Community College Thunderbirds, 93-81.
YC is now 5-5 overall and 1-5 in the ACCAC standings.
Yavapai took a four point lead into halftime, 44-41. However, MCC outscored the Riders in the second half 53-37 to score the victory. Once again, Louis Barraza led the home team in scoring with 20 points and 3 rebounds. Keith Wilson had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Playing in his first game of the season, Brock Entner scored 16 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Brandon Gentry chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
Next up for YC is Pima Community College in Tucson on Friday. Last season, Yavapai lost to the Aztecs in their first meeting, 77-71 and won the second game, 88-84. Tip-off will be at 7:30 PM with all the action being heard on 95.9 FM KKLD.
