Volleyball Upsets #16

The Lady Rider volleyball team rebounded from their opening season loss to upend the NJCAA Pre-Season #16 ranked Scottsdale Community College Lady Artichokes Wednesday night, 3-1 (30-21, 30-26, 29-31, 30-20).

Before last night’s match, YC had dropped 13 straight meetings to SCC. With the victory, the spikers are now 1-1 overall and 1-1 in ACCAC play.

Up next for the home squad is a very competitive Salt Lake City Community College Invitational this Friday and Saturday. YC will return to the Storm Center September 12th when South Mountain Community College comes to town.
