Strong Second Half Gives YC Victory

The Roughrider soccer team erupted for 4 second half goals to record their 2nd conference win in as many tries.
After falling behind 1-0, Yavapai College scored five unanswered goals enroute to a 5-1 win over Paradise Valley CC. The Roughrider goal scorers were Francis Khamis (23rd minute/assist Rudy Durate), Justin Meram (67th minute/unassisted), Khamis (72nd minute/assist Irving Garcia), Dallas Rusch-Michener (86th minute/unassisted) and Chad Cristia (88th minute/assist Elhadj Sy). Paradise Valley’s lone goal was scored off a penalty kick in the 19th minute.
Yavapai plays host to the 5-star Tournament this weekend with their first game on Friday, August 31st at 7:30 PM at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott.
